Alyssa Cruz, 21, plans to go to medical school after she graduates from the University of Texas at Austin. She loves the idea of practicing medicine because her biggest dream is to help people find affordable healthcare in underprivileged communities.

Alyssa Cruz and Felipe Cantu share a laugh in their living room as they discuss how life has been during this pandemic. Both of them agree that quarantining together has brought them much closer as roommates. Cantu is a senior at Texas State University majoring in art, and Cruz is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in neuroscience.

Alyssa Cruz learned how to skateboard as a way to pass time during quarantine. Now, riding her penny board has become her new favorite hobby. Skateboarding challenges her to test her physical abilities, and it also helps her relieve tension during these tough times.

"Bobby" the plant has grown four inches since October. Bobby's native state is California, but he was shipped to Texas as a birthday present for Kenya Ramirez from her dad. Ramirez plans to repot Bobby in the Spring.

This is Leia the English Bulldog. She is three years old, and currently lives in San Marcos, Texas. Leia loves to play fetch and tug of war, and she loves running outside. Her owner, Kenya Ramirez, describes Leia as her "pride and joy".
